Injection Syringe Calculator
Turn your prescribed Gonal-f or Follistim dose (in IU) into the number of units to draw on an insulin syringe.
Read this first. The “units” printed on an insulin syringe measure volume, not medication.
On a U-100 syringe, 100 units = 1 mL. Your prescription is written in IU of FSH. Both get called “units,” and they are not the same thing.
This tool converts one into the other. It does not choose your dose. Use the dose your clinic gave you, and use it only with a U-100 insulin syringe.

How the math works
Educational tool, not medical advice. It converts units and does not prescribe or adjust doses. Always follow your clinic’s written instructions. If anything here differs from what your nurse or doctor told you, call your clinic before you inject.
Concentrations come from the FDA-approved labeling: Gonal-f Multi-Dose (600 IU/mL when mixed as directed) and Follistim AQ Cartridge (833 IU/mL). Results assume a U-100 insulin syringe and do not account for air bubbles or the small amount of liquid held in the needle hub. Not for U-40 or U-500 syringes.
